Should Homosexual Couple Adopt Children?

Imagine that you are in the play ground of a park; you meet a lovely couple who bring their children there to play like any normal family. The only difference of this “family” is that both the parents are in the same sexuality. In other words, they are homosexual couple with their adopted children. Well, what would you think? In my opinion, I think it is totally OK. Actually, in the modern society, which emphasizes human nature rights and freedom, nuclear family with married father and mother is no longer the only acceptable alternative. Homosexual rights have been widely discussed on the diverse aspects in many countries. Homosexual adopting is one of the most controversial issues. In my opinion, I agree the homosexual couples adopting children for that they are nothing more than normal couples like everyone other couples who pursue secular happiness and seek for forming a family with whom they loved.
First of all, no evidences or researches show that homosexual people are unsuitable for parentage. As a matter of fact, good parenting is not influenced by sexual orientation. Rather, it is influenced most profoundly by parents’ abilities to create environment of loving and nurturing home, which abilities are nothing to do with sexual orientation. Let me clarify, Yes, some homosexual adopting do make problems, but we should take it as single cases instead of evidences. Actually, not only homosexual but heterosexual adopting has possibilities to have problems. As a result, I agree that adopting system should be well-examined but not from the aspect of sexual orientation. We should agree that homosexual couples do get capabilities to raise a child.
Some people might worry a diverse sexual orientation would influence children’s identification toward relationships. Yes, it is a reasonable concerning. However, in fact, children who are raised by heterosexual family still have possibilities to be homosexual tendency. We couldn’t blame on the homosexual parenting. Some researches even showed that homosexuality is affected by genes. The result suggests that several genetic regions may influence homosexuality. In other word, they are more tolerant and would not become homophobia. Actually, I think they can deal their sexual predisposition properly with less hesitation and uncertainty.
In our own country, Taiwan, have no law especially focus on the homosexual issues. However, civil law in our country regulate homosexuality can register their marriage despite it is annulled. Our law civilly makes a expediency which a protocol (人權保障基本法草案) says homosexual can legally adopt children, but on the other hand, according to current civil law, homosexual marriages are annulled. That is, homosexual couples in Taiwan who want to adopt children are civilly acceptable; nevertheless, they need to adopt the children with individual titular. To be simpler, they can book to be partners with legal children adopting but annulled marriage. I think it is quite complete and show that our country ensure people with nature human rights. Yet, comparing with the law, our society is too conservative to accept the ideas of homosexual family, which I think should be improved.
In any democracy countries, the Constitute declares that men were born equal with basic rights, which include surviving, preserving assets, freedom of public speech, and most important of all, the right of pursuit of happiness. Homosexual couples are no more than ordinary people who just want to get along with the men or women they loved and form a family like everybody else. Consequently, we shouldn’t and couldn’t ban or limit their rights no matter in the aspect of law or in the moral standard of society. After all, homosexual people are just like us, working hard and searching for the secular success and happiness. As a result, I am hundred-percent agree with homosexual adopting. How about you?

I believe gay couples should have legally certificated with their children adoptions if they want to. After all, as the most constitution of demorcracy government claims that everyone is born equal and should have their rights to pesue their happiness.

Spring Vacation !!!

Ha~here comes the spring vacation! I have plenty of plan. First, I am going to go to Kenting. It has been quite a long time since I went to Kenting last time. There is big series of rock'n roll and music concert which hold during spring vacation. Although it costs a lot of money. I still think it worth to go there and have a fun. It's spring time, after all. Everybody deserves a good time and good start at the first season of a year. Fortunately, we have a whole week vacation which allow me to do some arrangement without worrying about schedule. I wish I could have fun there. Actually, I think I will. I get some friends who are going there, too. Furthermore, they hold a party there. Isn't it sound great!? The only thing I woeey about is to get back Taichung on time so that I won't miss the classes next Monday. Ha! I cannot help but exciting. This is the biggest annual music activities in south of Taiwan. It attracts hundreds of thousands of people to visit Kenting during spring vacation. People who love rock'n roll, people who seek for fun, or people who just wanna see some chicks in BIKINI hanging around the lovely south Taiwan beach. NO matter what is your reason to come to Kenting. Make sure you are ready to have a big big fun

Learn with Efficiency (ESSAY)

In the article “College Lecture: Is Anybody Listening?” by David Daniels presents a common situation takes place in colleges in the United States. According to the author, he declaims that the lecture system is one of the reason lead to the lack of both basic skill and general culture of college graduates. For example, as the author’s words in the article, “Lecture is easier on everyone. Professors can pretend to teach by lecturing just as students can pretend to learn by attending lecture.” The author through the example by his own college experiment and an imaginary figure of a freshman who is called Mary to presents the severe problem between teaching and learning on a lecture class. He also says that the one problem of lecture is to pay attention. He points out that between plain voices of professors; there is a time lag between speech and comprehension which burns out the concentration of students. On the other hand, the author says lecture also harms professors. It makes professors’ teaching feedback minimum because of lecture classes can neither judge how well students understand the material nor benefit from their comprehension. However, author admits that the lecture system won’t disappear in university because it has economically necessary. That is true, but in my opinion, I believe there are some ways for us, as a college student, to learn efficiently.
First of all, I believe the pre-prepared before the class and to digest after the class is necessary, which is so-called preview and review. Preview and review can make you get good control of material and to shorten your comprehension time compared with those very first listeners. On the other hand, preview and review will reduce pressures of mid-term or final exam. Studying once a few materials at one time will much more easier than large amount of them when exam comes. For instance, I remembered there were several times I experimental try to preview material which will teach in next class and it really helped me a lot. One time I even forgot to bring my text book with me to the class but I did preview at home. To my astonishment, I could still understand what teacher said. As the significance of review need not to mention, everybody knows that it is the most important and most efficient way to get good picture of what you are studying. The good efforts of preview and review will reflect on your score on the exam. ]
Second, after you have spent time on previewing before classes, you can’t just sit there and do nothing in the classes. Therefore, my next method to learn efficiently is the note taking. I believe that you can even don’t bring text book to the classes but make sure you bring some blank papers and pen with you. Sometimes the notes on the classes are more useful than any other materials when you are going to prepare the exam. I had some experiences of browsing through the notes which I took on the classes of some subjects then go straight to the test because the lack of time. Although I didn’t get really high score, I had general ideas about the material of the test. On the other hand, note taking not only help you to deal with the exams, but help you keep concentrate and awake in the classes. The point is, if you keep writing something on the classes then you will not lose attention easily and give you no time for daydreaming or nodding off. However, there are particular ways to take a note. It is important to take a note with layer. You can’t just write down whatever you listen. First, you have no time for that. Second, it will make your note as an alien writing which even can’t read by alien. As a result, make sure you getting the title and extending the contents with layer are the better way to take note.
Last but not least, raise your hand for question! Asking questions will make you get even better comprehension because you can never ask penetrating questions about something unless you get the basic ideas about it. As a result, asking questions becomes an assay for both you and the lecturer. After you give a penetrating question, the lecturer has to use his/her specialty to answer. In addition, it is a timely way to solve your problems when you do previewing or note taking. On the other hand, asking questions is also a way to express your individuality which can impress your teachers and classmates. Like I remembered when I was at junior high, classmates in my class wouldn’t afraid of asking questions at that time. In the matter of fact, our teachers encouraged us to do so. It sometimes even became a debate between students and teachers. This kind of situation helped me a lot with my creativity, organization abilities and judgmental abilities.
The truth is that lecture classes cannot be changed in college, but there are still methods to help you to get more efficiencies at these courses. Through the three steps I mention above. I believe even the lecture classes which are criticized by the author in the article” College Lecture: Is Anybody Listening?” can give some useful knowledge to students and serve its utility.

Have a good time! Except the Coming of Exam.

I kind of enjoy these days. Doing whatever I want is exactly what I want and that feel great! However, seems like my good day is running short, because of the coming of the midterm exam. Well, after spring vacation, it will be the exam. If I smart enough then I should know I shoudn't mess up any subjects. As a result, I'd better start preparing for the exam. There will be lots of materials for preparing. It means hundreds of pages. Oh my god! It will be easier for me to think it as a long long long ....long stories which is written by ancient romance gleemen. However, if they were written by singer with harp, then I cannot help but thinking how great will it be if I can just sit down relax and enjoy somebody singing then I can do a great job at exams. Alright! Alright! I knew I am daydreaming. I'd better get back to my desk and focus on my textbooks hoping I won't mess up any subjects.

THE BIG DAY

That's it. It is the day. The day whole country crazy for it. Maybe you have already figured what I am going to mention- presidential eletion! It becomes a big issue for Taiwan and even international communities.In the matter of fact, everybody wants to know what it will become. More than 2.4 million populations will stare at the TV eager to know the result of the crucial presidential election tomorrow. Two condidates are trying their best to mold an image of the best choise to the country. It is not only about charisma, politics, but also intelligence, wisdom and democracy. It will be a noisy day tomorrow. There is only one condidate can win the election and become the next president of Taiwan. Actually, in my point of view, I think no matter who will win the election, may god bless Taiwan and the people who step on this soil for they are passionate, creative and extraordinary. This is the best place in the world, yet it has conflict, antagonism and arguement. We are in the same boat which is called Taiwan. What we choose and what we do make what we are. I believe in these people and this country, although they sometimes blind and sometimes insane, I know they all care about the future of Taiwan. They will make a decision, no matter what it will be let's wait and see. At this time tomorrow, the country will have a new leader who will take the helm of this big boat next four years to come. I hope he have prepared. We just don't want another corruption but a new era and new miracle. It has been so long for us to see the turbulence not only Taiwan but the whole world. As a result, we need and eager for a powerful government to take the reign. Hey! Mr. becoming president, listen! Can you hear the anxious voice crackled by people in this country? I hope it will timely remind and warn you at the next four years when you make any decisions. God bless Taiwan and bless us all.

NEW FOUND ITCH

Well...another semester. I hardly put myself together and get ready for next semester curriculam works. I choose some quite different classes except our department required. For instance, politics, eletronic commerce, and my personal favor, tennis for PE class. I have been playing tennis for these day. I found that it is a quite interesting sport but it is not easy at all. Even just to hit the flying ball by racket takes some practice. It is not as easy as you look people play of it. Actually, I am get into it and I think I got some small tips to help myself play better. I watch those professional players play games on TV., like Australia Open tournament. They are freaky awesome. It is always good to find a new interest, especially when you actually have time to get into it. I think it is wonderful period during college to develope a new interests. First, you have sufficent times. Second, you don't have to worry about what for living. And third, you have young and adventurous spirits. Well, so what are you waiting for. In the matter of fact, it will never too late to try a new thing no matter how ages you are. Being adventurous brings a lot of fun in life. I firmly believe this. Actually, after I finish this assignment, I am going to play tennis. It is Friday afternoon. Is there any better to do some sport then live it up at Friday night? I don't think so.
